Summary of various AICM actions in Ukraine during 2005
January / February: Arrival to France of Ukrainian doctors from the National Institute of Cardiac Surgery. Amosov and the National Institute of Neurosurgery. Romodanov, the beginning of cooperation.
February / March / April: Arrival to Ukraine of various specialists in Cardiology and Surgery, including Professor Daniel SIDI, cardio-pediatrician at the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital (Necker - Sick Children), Founder of the Chaîne de l'Espoir (Chain of Hope) Foundation in France ... The beginning of the training of Ukrainian doctors in France.
June: Arrival of Professor Anatoly RUDENKO, cardiac surgeon from the Institute. Amosov at l'Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou (European Hospital George Pompidou), establishing cooperation.
August-October: Organization of the first supplies of equipment to Ukraine. So, about 50 tons of charitable aid were received by Kremenchuk (Poltava region), Lutsk (Rivne region) and Horlivka (Donetsk region).
October: Organization of a meeting between President Viktor YUSHCHENKO and Professor David KAYAT, President of the National Cancer Institute in France, to establish cooperation between the two countries in the fight against cancer in Ukraine.
November: Signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the AICM and the Ukrainian government for 2005-2010.
December: Signing of a Cooperation Agreement between AICM and the National Cancer Institute in France for a period of 3 years. Preparation of supplies of the necessary diagnostic and radiological equipment for 2006 for 12 regional hospitals.
